The author is a retired physician and former Full Professor of Medicine in Hematology/Oncology. He had successful careers in academic medicine and private practice. He published widely within the medical and scientific literature. He has retired from the active practice of medicine to pursue a career in creative writing. This is his first novel. He resides with his wife in Lynchburg, Virginia.
